Some good advice you can add to Monday’s post on marriage:
Husband and wife will be happy together if they learn to overcome selfishness and love of comfort, if they avoid seeking personal compensations for every sacrifice they make, and if they know how to give without expecting anything in return. To achieve all this, it will greatly help them to remember that whatever they do for the love of their spouse is reckoned by Christ as actually done to himself (Mt. 25:50) Sacrifice born willingly is the key to a happy marriage. (Marriage: A Path to Sanctity, p. 37)
St. Joseph, Husband of Mary, pray for us!
