web-edit.jpgMy name is Chelsea Zimmerman; I am a Catholic writer, editor, blogger and podcaster. I currently serve as the editor-in-chief for the online Catholic magazine, Catholic Lane. I am also the social media director for Missouri Right to Life.

I am a regular guest on Catholic radio and some of my articles have been published at Catholic Lane, Ignitum Today, National Right to Life, LifeNews and Human Life International’s Truth and Charity Forum.

Reflections of a Paralytic is my personal blog. I also host a pro-life video series/podcast called BioTalk.

In 1999, when I was a junior in high school, I received a spinal cord injury in a car accident that left me paralyzed from the chest down. I have a beautiful, blessed life, but not a day goes by that I don’t face some new challenge or limitation.

Despite being the challenges I still live a relatively “normal” life. There is still so much I can do, and, most importantly, I still have the love of my family and the ability to love in return. In short, I have a great life because I’m a human being and I know my life has value!

If you want to know even more about me, you can watch my episode of EWTN’s Life on the Rock:

“Therefore, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and constraints, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:10

“To offer myself as a victim of Divine love is not to offer myself to sweetness, to consolation, but to every anquish, every bitterness; for love lives only by sacrifice, and the more the soul wills to be surrendered to love, the more must she be surrendered to suffering.” ~St. Therese of Lisuix

Would that everyone might know I should already be damned were it not for Mary!

  1. Happy feast day 9/8 -nativity of Mary! You are a beautiful soul! ☀️🍁💯🆒

  2. Hi Chelsea,

Our family lives in St Louis and know Father Mike Esswein. He is a saint and incredible priest! A few weekends ago, he celebrated the Wedding Mass for our oldest daughter Christine. I think you would find a short phone conversation with Father Mike quite inspiring. He’s the pastor now at Annunciation Catholic Parish in Webster Groves, MO (a suburb of St Louis). The best way to reach him is to call the parish office and leave a voice message with your cell phone number to call him. In Christ, Frank. My cell phone is 314-724-6920
