The majority of children prenatally diagnosed with Down syndrome are never allowed to make it out of the womb alive. For those who do, especially in the Ukraine, many are abandoned at birth and could even be institutionalized after 4 or 5 years for the rest of their lives. Reece’s Rainbow helps these kids find loving homes. ABC News reports on one one lucky little girl who was saved from life in an institution thanks to this organization:

So beautiful, Chelsea! I have a plan to write a book about God’s love for His special-needs children and their parents. I am seeking testimonies from parents of special- needs children who have experienced God’s special love for them. Will you help me spread the word?
I can send you a copy of one of my own testimonies about my spiritual journey with my daughter, Sofia, who will make 23 on January 18. She has severe autism and severe mental retardation. More than any other person in my life, she has drawn me close to the Lord and the Blessed Mother.
