“[T]o be just always means giving to others what is rightly due to them. A person’s rightful due is to be treated as an object of love, not as an object for use.” -John Paul II, Love and Responsibility p. 42

  1. Chelsea, I love this quote! I just began teaching my social justice class today and said something like this to the boys. But THIS is perfect! I’m making them copy it tomorrow!

    Thanks!

  2. Glad to hear it! It’s an excellent quote! It immediately jumped out at me as I was kind of skimming through looking for inspiration for my TOB Tuesday post.

  3. This is wonderful. Sums up the relationship each and every one of us should have with every single member of the human family. I loved this book when I read it 25 years ago – it was unlike anything I had ever read. Now I remember why.
